Programme Terms, Payment & Claims

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These terms apply to large-volume eyewear programmes placed with Vaytir. They are written for enterprise buyers — retail chains, global brands and large importers. Where a signed framework agreement or quotation differs, that document governs.

Programme scope & capacity

Vaytir builds programmes, not one-off orders. A programme is defined by SKU set, target volume, colourways, compliance markets and delivery windows. On agreement we reserve production capacity for the committed monthly volume and, where required, lock an annual framework with tiered pricing. Programmes typically start from 500–1,000 pairs per colour for custom moulds and scale to container volume.

Sampling & approval

We produce physical pre-production samples against the locked specification. Bulk production begins only after you approve the sample in writing. Sampling cost and timeline are quoted per programme; tooling costs, where custom moulds are involved, are stated on your quotation.

Payment

Framework programmes are invoiced on a schedule set out in the agreement — commonly a deposit against reserved capacity with staged payments against production milestones, the balance due before shipment or against documents. Payment is by bank transfer. Exact terms, currency and milestones are stated on your contract and proforma invoices.

Lead times

Production lead times for a programme are confirmed at agreement and reported weekly against your season deadline. A lead time begins when we hold both the approved sample and the agreed deposit, and assumes the committed volume schedule is met.

Quality & documentation

Every batch passes documented QC — lens inspection, UV400 verification, frame flex and temple alignment, and a 100% visual pass — and the QC record ships with the order. Compliance documents (UV400 lab report, CE, FDA, and REACH or Prop 65 support) are pre-staged per destination market. Independent inspection (SGS, BV) can be arranged at your request and cost.

Shipping & risk

Programmes are quoted FOB by default; DDP can be arranged. Risk transfers per the Incoterm on your invoice. We prepare export documentation and work with your customs broker so paperwork is ready before the container lands.

Defect claims

Raise any manufacturing or specification defect within 15 days of delivery, with photos, the QC batch reference and the affected quantity. Verified defects against the agreed specification are remedied by replacement, rework or credit, at our discretion. We do not accept claims for approved samples, buyer-supplied designs, change of mind, or transit damage (a carrier matter under your freight terms). Variation within the industry tolerance stated in your specification is not a defect.

Intellectual property

You confirm you own or are licensed to use any design, logo or artwork you provide, and you authorise us to use it solely to fulfil your programme. We will not supply your custom designs to third parties.
